Word from Rockstar has finally dropped in regard to the Red Dead Redemption 2 beta. I don’t know about you, but the wait has been agonizing. Without further ado, let's get down to the details.
The Red Dead Online beta begins November 27th, 2018 (although servers are actually live right now). Players that purchased the ultimate edition of the game will have access to the beta tomorrow. Anyone that Played RDR2 on launch (basically preorders) will be able to join the beta on Wednesday (Nov. 28). Everyone that purchased the title the day of launch and played it on the 26th thru 28th, will gain access on Thursday, the 29th.
The beta will be open to everyone on Friday, November 30th, to everyone that owns the game, but didn’t manage to play before the 28th of october. To answer the question that I have been asked several times over, the beta is only open to those that own the game and it is not an open beta for the public.
We still don’t know much about what the online mode will feature, but we’re about to find out soon enough. The hype is real. Will I see you online?
