PS4 / Vita Bundle Not In The Works, Says Sony

PS4 / Vita Bundle Not In The Works, Says Sony

It's long been a rumor that Sony would eventually put out a bundle containing both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Such a bundle would make sense, after all, considering how hard Sony is pushing the remote play functionality between the two systems. While retailers have put together their own bundles, there has been no official Sony bundle, and it looks like there won't be for some time.

In an interview with GameSpot, PlayStation hardware marketing executive John Koller stated that there were no plans to bundle the two systems together at this time.

Koller states that Sony is seeing people purchasing Vitas with their PS4s more frequently, and that the possibility of some kind of retail synergy is possible.

Koller states "I like the idea personally of being able to put them together if not as a bundle but as a marketed experience point. So Vita we think fits very, very well as a companion device for the PS4. But, I stop there because I want to make sure Vita retains the beauty of what makes Vita, Vita. And that's that it's got it's own unique kind of bespoke games."
