One of the hottest stories trending across the Internet right now is that the PlayStation 4 has sold more units in the United States in two months than the Wii U has done in over a year.
With over 2.1 million PlayStation 4 units sold in the United States since launch, the system has sold roughly 200,000 consoles more than the Wii U. Analysts are predicting that at this rate, the PlayStation 4 can outsell the Wii U globally by the end of March.
With the Xbox One hot on the heels of the PlayStation 4 in terms of sales, it's only a matter of time before the Xbox One outsells the Wii U as well.
It seems like Nintendo is in a bad spot; when your competitors flatten you in sales in a fraction of the time, it doesn't say good things about the future of your console.
Could the PlayStation 4 be the nail in the coffin of Nintendo's console business, just like the PlayStation 2 did to Sega and their Dreamcast? Only time will tell.
What do you think, PS4 Experts readers? Will the PS4 send the Wii U packing for good, or do you think the Wii U stands a chance? Let us know in the comments!
