We've recently received a tip that Amazon has just received extra allocation of PlayStation 4 consoles for the PS4 launch on November 15th, 2013.
Unfortunately, this does not mean that Amazon is reopening preorders; rather, customers who preordered the PlayStation 4 and were guaranteed a console before the end of the year are now eligible to receive the console on November 15th, 2013 instead.
Upgrading to release day delivery will cost an additional $7.98 in shipping charges and you can check the eligibility of your preorder from your Amazon account. Select your PS4 preorder and, if you are applicable to upgrade your delivery options, select "Two Day Shipping" in the "Change Shipping Speed" category.
We've attached a screenshot of the email that Amazon is sending out.
Hopefully this means Amazon will reopen preorders soon for the PlayStation 4 and if they do, you'll be the first to know!
