Bethesda E3 - 2018 Recap

Man, oh man! I don’t know about you, but I thought Bethesda had a great show last night. They were not messing around, so lets not either. I’m diving right into all the major announcements from the show and we saw some good ones.

Starting off with a game we already knew was confirmed, RAGE 2 received a Spring 2019 release date. Early 2019 has a lot going on already and RAGE 2 makes it that much better. With a nice game play trailer dropped, the hype is just beginning.

Doom Eternal was revealed with a teaser trailer last night. The game is said to have twice as many demons than its predecessor and a larger reveal will take place next August, at QuakeCon.

Wolfenstein 2: Young Blood was announced. This is a new co-op experience for up to two players. Taking on the roll of B.J. Blazkowicz twin daughters during 1980’s France, you and friend can start playing together sometime in 2019.

Elder Scrolls Legends is coming to consoles later this year. It is relaunching with completely updated graphics and can currently be downloaded (for free) on PC and Mobile devices. Progress made now can be carried over to the console versions when they release. That’s a bonus!

Fallout 76 gets a release date and it is revealed that it will be entirely online. I have heard a lot of gamers say they weren’t interested if the game was in fact online, but maybe they’ll change their minds? Fallout 76 will release this year on November 14th. The game can be played solo for those that would rather not link up, but partying up allows players to complete quests and build together. Personally, I can’t wait to play this game. I hope it’s good...

Starfield. What is Starfield? Well, I can’t really tell you. I can tell you that it is a brand new IP and it will be a next gen game. It seems interesting that we hear about a game in development for next gen consoles during this show, but it has certainly grabbed my attention.

Elder Scrolls VI has been revealed, but much like Starfield, not much else is known. Elder Scrolls VI is the game developers are building towards after Starfield. It seems both titles are a ways off before we hear about any release dates, but it seems these two titles are going to release on PS5. Of course there were no specifics listed, but it seems about right to me.

That about wraps up all the major announcements from Bethesda's show. It certainly has me grinning from ear to ear. Up next is the Square Enix recap, followed by Ubisoft's Show. You’ll also have coverage of The Sony E3 show after that has gone live. I cannot wait to see what Sony has to offer. Lets not forget that Nintendo also has a show Tuesday. They just might have some great third party reveals for all of us, so keep checking back for more E3 content!
